VANSCORPs on the Brink of Taking COMSOFT AIM System into Operational Service

Future national integrated Aeronautical Information Management solution, covering 22 locations in Vietnam, achieved full site acceptance.
HANOI/VIETNAM, May 2010 The sophisticated AIM solution for the Vietnamese air navigation service provider VANSCORP supplied by ATM expert COMSOFT has passed final milestone. After the conclusion of the acceptance and training phase, and the thorough and diligent migration of mainly paper-based static information into digital AIXM format, the state-of-the-art solution now meets all requirements for modern AIM operations. Both parties consensually declared the new system as ready to be put into operation.
This project heralds in a new age of handling aeronautical data in South-East-Asia and was realised by COMSOFTs CADAS product line. Now interlinking 22 locations, it was developed to the benefit of fully automated static and dynamic AIM operations, providing up-to-date workflows for NOTAM, OPMET, flight plan management, charting, eAIP and web-based briefing services. With the implementation of this significant step on the "ICAO Roadmap for the Transition from AIS to AIM" VANSCORP will significantly increase flight safety and has emerged as one of the leading ANSPs applying up-to-date AIM technologies.
Upon completion of the ongoing pre-operational period the systems are scheduled to go in full operational service later this year.
