The State Inspectorate for the Supervision of Safety in the Republic of Uzbekistan (Gosavianadzor) was established on June 16, 1998 in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 255 of 16.06.1998 as an independent legal entity on the basis of the Main Inspectorate, being separated from the National Airline "Uzbekiston Havo Yullari". The State Inspectorate of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Safety Oversight is a state body that performs the functions of the aviation administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the implementation of the policy in the field of civil and experimental aviation, state supervision of compliance by operators of aircraft, aviation enterprises and organizations with established rules and norms.
