These studies have been led by nationally known aviation and aerospace university investigators with multi-disciplinary research teams representing both academic and industry partners.

Project information will be shared by the University of Oklahoma, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Wichita State University, Akron University, InterAmerican University, University of Nebraska-Omaha, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Tulsa Community College and Texas State Technical College.

Founded in 2016, the FAA Center of Excellence for Technical Training and Human Performance is a consortium of more than 65 public and private organizations dedicated to discovering and testing solutions for improving training and instructional technology for aviation professionals, such as air traffic controllers, aviation safety inspectors, pilots, engineers and technicians. The Center works directly with the FAA’s Air Traffic Organization, Flight Program Operations, Flight Standards, NextGen and the Civil Aerospace Medical Institute. Members of the Center represent world-class research institutions and industry with aviation and aerospace expertise in one or more of the strategic focus areas—workforce development and training, human factors, safety and analytics.
