Aeronautical Services And Procedures (ASAP) preferred Skyguide procedure design software supplier
ASAP has entered into a contract with Skyguide, the Air Traffic Service Provider of Switzerland, to provide them with 6 licences of the ASAP PHX instrument flight procedure design software. Skyguide has had an internal dedicated procedure design section for the last fifteen years and ASAP is pleased to welcome this experienced group as our latest users.
The ASAP PHX procedure design software is a selection of tools that can be used by a professional procedure designer to design any type of procedure in any environment. Mr. Whitworth, the managing director of ASAP, stressed that the PHX procedure design software is not an automated program but a set of specialised software tools that can enable a qualified procedure designer to design safe, economical and flyable instrument flight procedures.
These are the types of instrument procedures in use in Switzerland at the moment and both ASAP and Skyguide recognise that the ASAP PHX procedure design software is unique in its ability to provide procedure design support for such procedures. Both the staff and management at ASAP realise that this is a long term commitment on both sides and we are all very confident of the outcome of this ongoing relationship.
Mr. Whitworth said ASAP has been providing quality services to the aviation community for the last eleven years and we do not expect this to change any time in the future.
Even though the Skyguide procedure designers are new users of the software they have already made a suggestion for its improvement. This suggestion was for the introduction of yearly user group meetings. This idea was greeted with enthusiasm by the ASAP management and a free PHX users group meeting will be held on the 27th and 28th of May 2010 at the ASAP conference room in Pezinok Slovakia.
