The US ARMY will realize a cost savings of more than $500,000 compared to alternative radio controlled, solar powered taxiway lighting systems. The airfield will install 254 radio-controlled taxiway and helipad edge lights, stake mount systems and encrypted radio controllers. With night vision goggle (NVG) compatible LED lighting and encrypted radio control from Avlite Systems this delivery will provide the air base with immediate on/off control, visible and infrared outputs, intensity control and systems diagnostics.
