CANSO is launching a New Airspace Exhibition in Asia Pacific

- Hong Kong.

The Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO) is excited to announce the launch of Airspace Asia Pacific a brand-new exhibition and conference dedicated to airspace and unmanned traffic management (UTM) in the Asia Pacific region. Set to take place at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong, China, from 9 to 11 December 2025, the inaugural event will bring together senior leaders in the air traffic management (ATM) and UTM industries to foster innovation and collaboration.

Simon Hocquard, Director General of CANSO, expressed his excitement about this new venture: "We are thrilled to launch Airspace Asia Pacific in Hong Kong. This event represents our commitment to fostering a stronger ATM and UTM community in the Asia Pacific region by leveraging digitalisation, virtualisation, and other cutting-edge technologies."

The Director-General of Civil Aviation of Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department, Mr Victor Liu, said: "Hong Kong is a major international aviation centre. With our world-class conference and exhibition facilities, as well as renowned hospitality, I am sure the event will be successfully held in our vibrant city. We are honoured to welcome the inaugural Airspace Asia Pacific to Hong Kong, China in 2025.”

Additionally, Irene Chan, CEO of AsiaWorld-Expo, the venue of this new event, commented: “Strategically situated at the heart of Asia and fully integrated with the Hong Kong International Airport, AsiaWorld-Expo offers unparalleled accessibility for aviation experts across continents. Finally, the Hong Kong Tourism Board is delighted about the news and looking forward to welcome the airspace industry of the region. As the General Manager of MICE and Cruise, Kenneth Wong has said: “The city's successful bid to host Airspace World Asia Pacific 2025, a distinguished air traffic management event, solidifies Hong Kong’s status as a world-class aviation hub. Through our joint efforts with the Civil Aviation Departmentand AsiaWorld-Expo, the Hong Kong Tourism Board is pleased to welcome global air traffic management professionals convening in our city. With Hong Kong’s professional standing in aviation and unique role as a super-connector between Mainland China and the world, it is an ideal host to drive the discussion on global aviation development.”
