Channel Islands airspace modernisation
ASAP is working with the United Kingdom aviation consultancy firm Cyrrus and the French firm Egis Avia. ASAP will be optimising the SIDs and STARs around the Channel Islands of Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney which lie between France and England.
This is a complex portion of European airspace and ASAP is excited to be part of this ambitious modernisation project. ASAP will design P-RNAV SIDs and STARs and these will go a long way to relieving the congestion that some times occurs in this portion of airspace.
As a further part of this project ASAP will be carrying out a full safety review of all the instrument flight procedures at Jersey and designing a Baro VNAV approach at Guernsey. This modernisation
project will benefit all users of the airspace, ATC and airlines alike.
