Deutsche Lufthansa will use the latest version of the resource management system sally at Frankfurt Airport

Considering the opening of the new and exclusive pier A-Plus at their main hub FRA, Deutsche Lufthansa has ordered the latest version of delairs resource management system sally stand/gate.

The high flexibility of the system meets most of the requirements defined by Lufthansa. Furthermore its efficient algorithm provides an optimum support for planning of stand and gate usage.

As the new gate A-Plus will be put into operation in 2012 the exclusive areas of Lufthansa at Frankfurt Airport will keep on growing. For the airline the main objective is to use the new and existing terminal capacities in a highly efficient manner.

sally is an expert system which precisely considers all complex rules during the planning of stands and gates and allows for any kind of planning scenarios. Additionally, the extremely fast algorithm enables to plan complete days within a few minutes which helps to analyse planning scenarios in the most efficient way. Version 3 is based on state-of-the-art technology and can be used with various operating systems.

"For Lufthansa and STAR Alliance it is most important that we use our exclusive resources at the Rhein-Main Airport in an inteligent and efficient way to ensure our customers convenience as good as possible today and in the future.

The resource allocation in Frankfurt is very complex but sally supports the user with optimal results in very short time for pre-planning and evaluation.

Fast planning results and easy customisation of analyses are very important for us, says Martin Nubert, project leader within the department infrastructure development of Lufthansa at Frankfurt/Main.
