Egis furthers its development in Brazil with the acquisition of Aeroservice, a Brazilian airport consultancy

On 6 June 2012, Egis finalised its acquisition of the Brazilian firm Aeroservice, specialising in airport consultancy and engineering.
After Vega (specialist in freight rail engineering), in 2011, this new acquisition will strengthen Egis' position in the Brazilian market.

Created in 1984 and based in Sao Paulo, Aeroservice has uncontested expertise and 25 years of experience in airport design, notably in the early stages (master plans, scheduling, etc.). The firm has been responsible for a large part of the upstream studies for Brazil's airports.

Its main clients are public authorities and, more recently, private consortiums positioning themselves with regard to airport privatisation and modernisation in Brazil.

Aeroservice has orders on its books for 2012 worth nearly 10 million reais (around €4 million), including the master plans for almost half of Brazil's airports.

Acquisition of Aeroservice will strengthen Egis' offering in a country where development of activity is amongst the most rapid in the world: a population of more than 200 million; the world's 7th largest economy, just behind France and the UK; and a GDP that has doubled in five years.Brazil also has the world's second largest number of airports.
