ENAIRE signs the actions for the local implantation of the Single European Sky at its stand at the World ATM Congress
The ENAIRE stand at the World ATM Congress has been the venue chosen for the signature of the document describing the actions for the implantation of the Single European Sky in Spain.
Every year, a European Single Sky Implantation Plan (ESSIP), which constitutes the third level of the ATM Master Plan, is prepared, and once approved, each State should define its own Local Plan (LSSIP), where the actions carried out and planned to achieve national implantation of the European objectives are specified.
Thus, now that the joint work at a national level for the preparation of the Local Single Sky Implantation Plan corresponding to 2015 has finished, representatives of the five Spanish participating bodies proceeded to sign it: the subdirector general of Sistemas de Navegación Aérea y Aeroportuarios of the Dirección General de Aviación Civil, Jesús Pérez Blanco; the directora of the Agencia Estatal de Seguridad Aérea (Aesa), Isabel Maestre Moreno; the general jefe of the Air Force, Fernando de la Cruz Caravaca; the director general of Aena, Javier Marín San Andrés, and the director general of ENAIRE, Ángel Luis Arias Serrano. Lut Nackaerts, as the Eurocontrol representative for Spain and Portugal, participated in the act.
The Plan that has been signed is the tool through which the consistency and convergence of the different national plans for the evolution of the air navigation system can be monitored, with respect to the Single European Sky initiative.
The European SIngle Sky Implantation Plan (ESSIP) is updated annually by SESAR Joint Undertaking (SJU), the common partnership of the SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research) project. The latest edition, ESSIP 2015, forms part of the overall update of the European Master Plan approved in December 2015 by the members of SJU, including the European Commission and Eurocontrol.
