2017 was a successful year for the FREQUENTIS Group
Strong global position as a specialist supplier in the safety-critical area
Frequentis AG is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. It develops and markets its “control centre solutions” in the Air Traffic Management business domain (civil and military air traffic control, air defence) and the Public Safety & Transport business domain (police, fire brigades, ambulance services, shipping, railways).
In 2017, Frequentis’ order intake rose to EUR 287.8 million – a significant year-on-year increase of 11%. This was due to the successful continuation of the Group's internationalisation strategy and the positive development of the air traffic management business acquired from Comsoft GmbH in Germany at the beginning of 2016.
Frequentis improved its total operating performance by nearly 9% to EUR 274.5 million. The Group’s EBIT (earnings before interest and taxes) was EUR 14.3 million, an increase of 15% compared to 2016.
The focus for 2018 is sustained profitable growth of the Frequentis Group. Based on the present portfolio of products and solutions, the Group aims to extend it strong market position and market penetration.
In mid-April 2018, Norbert Haslacher (48) was appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Frequentis AG. The former CEO and Frequentis owner Hannes Bardach joined the Frequentis Supervisory Board as Chairman.
