Harris Corporationhas completed installation, training and Site Acceptance Testing for its air traffic control system (ATC) installed at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali, Indonesia. The announcement was made during the 57th Annual Air Traffic Control Association Conference and Exposition being held October 1-3 at the Gaylord National Resort and Conference Center in Washington, DC.
Harris supplied its Liberty-STAR Voice Communication and Control System (VCCS) to the Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali. Liberty-STAR VCCS features a modular architecture, open-platform software and commercial-off-the-shelf hardware that delivers a reliable, scalable communications solution for ATC towers, airline and area control dispatch, flight service stations, and mobile shelters.

"With the successful completion of installation and testing of this ATC system, Harris has established a very good working relationship with Angkasa Pura," said John O'Sullivan, vice president, Mission Critical Networks, Harris Corporation. "The system is now ready for Angkasa Pura to go operational and begin providing the region's controllers and other operators with much needed improvements in ATC communications capabilities."
