Intelcan-Guyana Civil Aviaion Authority: sign contract for Skycontrol ATM and Skysurv ADS-B
Intelcan is proud to announce its sixth project in Guyana with the supply and installation of the SKYSURV Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) and SKYCONTROL ATM at Cheddi Jagan International airport. Intelcan is working to assist the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) as it moves forward with the recently implemented modernization project.
GCAA’s Director General told the local media that this project will enhance the modernisation process of the Air Navigation Services that Guyana recently embarked upon.
Intelcan’s new equipment, scheduled for installation and commissioning before July 2014, will allow Guyana’s airspace to accommodate approximately four times the amount of air traffic while achieving compliance with ICAO's recommended practices.
Intelcan’s SKYSURV ADS-B expands surveillance coverage and provides accuracy and reliability in aircraft position measurement and reporting. SKYCONTROL ATM is a fully integrated ATM system that will be used in the oceanic, en-route, approach and tower environments. The system covers all types of Air Traffic Control, thereby minimizing the cost of both training and maintenance, making it the most cost-effective solution on the market.
Intelcan CEO and President, Georges Ata said, “it is an honour to have earned the confidence and trust of the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority. Intelcan has built a reputation on developing long-standing client relationships”.
