Luciad to sponsor the OGC Technical Committee and Planning Committee meetings at Eurocontrol.
Luciad is sponsoring the Open Geospatial Consortium Technical - and Planning Committee meetings, taking place 28 November - 2 December 2011 at the Eurocontrol headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. The meeting is being hosted by Eurocontrol, the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation.
Luciad is a long-term member of the Open Geospatial Consortium, a consensus-based and member-driven organization whose members are companies, government ministries and offices, non-governmental organizations, research organizations and universities. The OGC's open standards are widely used to enable communication of digital geographic and location information.
The event agenda covers topics for the different OGC Domain Working Groups including Aviation - and Defense Intelligence Working Groups. These working groups provide a forum for discussion of key business and technical issues relating to geospatial information integration and interoperability.
Throughout the event, Luciad will be showcasing LuciadMap; our flagship product for building interactive Air Traffic Control (ATC), Air Traffic Management (ATM), Aeronautical Information Services (AIS) and Management (AIM) user interfaces that visualize thousands of tracks overlaid with static aeronautical chart and map data.
In addition, Luciad will be demonstrating its latest product LuciadMobile. LuciadMobile offers Geospatial software components that enable rapid development of Geospatial Situational Awareness applications for mobile devices running Android. LuciadMobile has specific benefits that satisfy the needs of pilots, ground crew and other Aviation related personnel.
