Micro Nav Host 2014 BEST User Group in Bournemouth

Micro Nav Ltd hosted their annual BEST User Group in Bournemouth 12th – 14th May 2014.

This year’s event attracted a record number of attendees, with a 40% increase on last year. Representatives from the Royal Netherlands Air Force, Dubai Air Navigation Services, Skyguide, Oman Aircraft Control College, Entry Point North, the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, The Bulgarian Air Traffic Services Authority, East Midlands Airport, Liverpool Airport, Leeds Bradford Airport, Jersey Airport, Polish Air Navigation Services Agency and the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology were all in attendance.

The 3 day event featured presentations from users about their organisations and their experience using the BEST Simulator; A tour of the new premises followed by one to one sessions with Micro Nav staff; Project and product updates from Micro Nav and a quiz to test the industry knowledge of the delegates and members of Micro Nav’s staff.

The customer presentations highlighted the diverse capabilities and scalability of the system and the access to Micro Nav staff enabled users to benefit first hand from the experience and skill set of the team members.

The BEST User Group is and has always been a hugely valuable event for Micro Nav and the users of the BEST Simulator, giving all participants the opportunity to learn from each other, to network with like-minded individuals and to get a clear insight into the roadmap of service enhancements and future updates planned by Micro Nav.

The feedback session this year was overwhelmingly positive, with users saying how much they enjoyed the event and how the addition of the ‘one-to-one sessions’ really added benefit to the whole experience giving them the opportunity to speak to members of the Micro Nav team such as developers and engineers that maybe they wouldn’t usually be able to interact with. Customer quotes included “I enjoyed the conference to full extent, met great people; enjoyed all sessions; visit to Micro Nav office and the MNL Quiz was useful for us.”, “I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your hospitality and organisation of a very interesting and enjoyable event.
