Two New Appointments at Micro Nav

Micro Nav has appointed a new Technical Director. Tony Bushnell joins from Cobham PLC with responsibility for all software and hardware Engineering functions.
Tony has over 20 years’ experience in managing software teams especially in the Aviation and Defence sectors. Over the years Tony has gained experience in many areas of aviation and ATC technology.

Tony was previously Chief Engineer for Air Traffic Control solutions at Cobham PLC. During that time he was instrumental in harnessing the latest technology to innovate and deliver new software systems. Tony also streamlined the development process, implementing AGILE and integrating hardware teams to create cross functional groups delivering multi-million pound projects.

At Micro Nav, Tony will focus on enhancing product development and improving the efficiency of the whole engineering function.

Tony has recently moved house so his spare time is currently consumed with decorating, sorting the house and three kids.

Joining the sales and marketing team is Carlos Fernandes, who joins Micro Nav from L-3 Communications. Carlos has been appointed Region Sales Manager for Europe and the Middle East and brings with him a wealth of aviation experience winning new business and managing key customers where he consistently developed successful business opportunities.
Carlos’s aviation experience includes Flight Simulation sales, network solutions and ground handling specialist systems with L-3 and ARINC Rockwell Collins.
  
Carlos is of Portuguese heritage and trained initially as an accountant. His outside interests include motor racing and playing the guitar.
