Paving the way for expanding the usage of AMHS in the ICAO EUR/NAT Region
- Vienna, Austria
The Naviair AMHS system in Copenhagen, Denmark, based on Frequentis smartMessenger, has recently completed AMHS Interoperability testing with the AMHS system operated by AENA Spain. Testing was conducted in accordance with the bilateral test cases in the EUR AMHS Manual, Appendix E Version 8.0. All testing and was conducted over the PENS network.
Michael Rauff Hansen at Naviair stated that “Naviair Denmark has run successfully IOP test with Spain in July 2013 by using Frequentis New Version of smartMessenger AMHS system. Naviair found AMHS new functionalities e.g. X.400 MTA management functions to convey AMHS messages to Spain rapidly and properly. We can configure the AMHS system conveniently according to our requirements. SmartMessenger AHMS system is easy to use for both operational and technical staff. It was very pleasant to work with the Frequentis experts who made sure that the IOP testing was conducted in an absolutely smooth and professional way on the smartMessenger AMHS system.”
The Finavia AMHS system, also based on Frequentis smartMessenger, has achieved a similar feat, having completed AMHS Interoperability testing with the AMHS system installed in Saint Petersburg and operated by Rosaviatsiya, the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency.
