New guidance documents on ATCO Training Plans released

Find the two new documents in the training publications catalogue on the EUROCONTROL Training Zone.

As part of its harmonising mission, EUROCONTROL has recently published two new guidance documents. These set out best practices and ideas that may assist personnel in charge of developing and delivering ATCO basic training.
These publications are of particular interest now as FABs are developing new shared Training Plans and the formal use of the Common Core Content is becoming more prevalent.

- Guidance for Developing ATCO Basic Training Plans contains information and guidance relating to the development and implementation of Air Traffic Controllers Basic Training. The document first describes the training methodology and documentation, then we focuses on the expected outcome of the ATCO Basic Training (performance objectives) and finally offers an example of ATCO Basic Training Plan with the timing and prerequisites.
- ATCO Rating Training Performance Objectives contains information and guidance about the development and implementation of Air Traffic Controllers Rating Training. It describes the expected outcome (performance objectives) for ATCO Rating Trainings.
