Poland relies on FREQUENTIS for its ATM communications and information solutions
Frequentis places considerable value on its close customer relationship with PANSA (the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency). As well as supplying Poland with the new release (6.1) of its VCS 3020X voice communication system, the company is also set to equip Polish air traffic control with a national ATIS/VOLMET solution. The dual order further cements the strong position held by Frequentis in the European communications and tower markets.
PANSA has asked the worlds market leader in communication and information systems for air traffic management to supply and install a national ATIS/VOLMET solution. The Frequentis
smartATIS/VOLMET product provides information services via radio and Datalink to planes located near the airport (ATIS) or crossing national airspace (VOLMET). smartATIS/VOLMET is part of the Frequentis smartTools portfolio, which also includes smartMET, smartNAV and smartTEC/LICOS.
Within nine months, the international hi-tech company will deliver appropriate solutions to eight airports (Poznan, Gdansk, Krakow, Katowice, Warsaw, Wroclaw, Rzeszow and Szczecin).
PANSA has also contracted Frequentis to supply Poland with a new voice communication system: the 6.0 release of the popular and proven VCS 3020X system. The order covers around 90 controller positions, including over 100 telephone connections, 170 radio channels and 30 cable networks.
