Shortlist revealed for Jane’s ATC Awards 2018

Judges for the Jane’s ATC Awards 2018 have shortlisted entries and allocated categories.
Winners and shortlisted nominees will be recognised at a ceremony at 3 pm on 6 March in the Delegate Theatre at World ATM Congress in Madrid. The ATC Awards event is free for all to attend.

Enabling Technology Award – for contributions to enhanced capacity and safety
- Bologna University and project partners – Resilient Synthetic Vision for Advanced Control Tower ANS Provision (RETINA) project
- EUROCONTROL Maastricht UAC and Slovenia Control – ATM Data as a Service (ADaaS)
- FAA and The MITRE Corporation – National Airspace System Operations Dashboard (NOD)
- Unifly nv – Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) platform
Environment Award – to recognise work on ‘green’ ATM concepts
- Austro Control, BHANSA, Croatia Control, Slovenia Control, and SMATSA - South East Common Sky Initiative Free Route Airspace (SECSI FRA)
- DECEA – Flexible Use of Airspace in Brazilian Air Force Academy training areas
- DSNA in partnership with EUROCONTROL - European wake vortex recategorisation (RECAT EU)
- Swedavia - environmental analysis of flight operations by LFV
Runway Award – for safety and efficiency on the runway and final approach
- LFV Air Navigation Services – Runway Incursion Prevention Programme (RIPP)
- Network Manager Safety Improvement Sub Group (SISG) – development of the European Action Plan for the Prevention of Runway Incursions (EAPPRI) v3.0
- Searidge Technologies Inc and HungaroControl Zrt – first certified remote tower for medium-capacity airports
- UFA, Inc and Israel Airports Authority – realistic emergency team co-ordination training
Service Provision Award – for contributions to safe and efficient airspace
- Aviation Capacity Resources AB – tailor-made terminal air navigation services (T-ANS)
- FAB CE Aviation Services – FAB CE common equipment procurement programme
- NAV CANADA – full deployment of Common Hardware Integration Platform (CHIP)
- NUAC – introduction of Joint Programme Office (JPO) for Danish-Swedish FAB
Technology Award – reflecting significant contributions by equipment and systems suppliers
- DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH and Indra Sistemas – iTEC Center Automation System (iCAS)
- Frequentis AG with partners MUAC and DSNA – FABEC N-VCS live operations at MUAC
- Inmarsat Aviation – SwiftBroadband-Safety satellite communications platform for the flight deck
- NITA, LLC – ATM automation system for Krasnoyarsk Consolidated ATM Centre
