Thales expands its presence in Chile
Thales, a global technology leader for the Defence & Security and Aerospace & Transport markets, will present its latest product and technology innovations at the 17th edition of FIDAE (Feria Internacional del Aire y del Espacio) in Santiago de Chile from 27 March to 1 April 2012.
Thales is steadily expanding its presence in Chile, tailoring its range of products to the technology requirements of the various segments of the Chilean market. Since 1968, the Group has been a trusted supplier to Chile's armed forces, the national civil aviation authority and operators of urban transportation systems (including the Santiago metro), as well as providing avionics equipment and services.
"Air traffic management and military radars are just two of the areas in which Thales has achieved global market leadership. FIDAE is an excellent opportunity for us to present our solutions in other areas, such as command and control systems, defence communications and optronics (infrared cameras and night vision systems)," said Antonio Quintanilla, Managing Director of Thales in Chile.
Organised every two years with the support of the Chilean government, FIDAE is one of the key events for defence, aerospace and security professionals in Latin America. For more than 30 years, FIDAE has showcased the latest technological developments in civil and military aerospace, aircraft maintenance, airport equipment and services, space and homeland security.
