Munich Airport is well known as "the hub of the south". With more than 30 million passengers and about 400.000 aircraft movements a year, the airport staff has to be well-trained. For this purpose, we operate our Aviation Academy. We offer all kind of training activities, like seminars about: Navigation, Meteorology, Aircraft technics, Radio Communication, Aircraft recognition, Simulator training with a 3D-realtime simulator (operational since 1991, we use ATTower and ATView II), ICAO-Docs and Annexes, Marshalling and Language courses in English (business and aviation/aviation-phraseology). We also offer seminars for: Ramp Agents, Walk-out-Assistance, Winter Services, Management, Dangerous Goods Regulations, etc. We are recognized as the leading authority worldwide on operational readiness and transfer (ORAT) for new airports and extension to existing airports. We have substantial experience in the start-up of airports and terminals in several countries and can provide advice, planning, management and coordination for the start-up. Our expertise covers all operational areas and we are able to place a team of start-up experts internationally. Since 1992 our consulting department had several consulting contracts around the world, the latest contracts are: Kuala Lumpur, Brussels, Athens, Madrid Barajas, Bangkok-Suvarnabhumi, London Heathrow Terminal 5, Hyderabad.
