ENAV flight Inspection, leader in GNSS approach validation
- Rome, Italy
ENAV has completed its fleet with a brand new Piaggio Aero P180 Avanti II. The aircraft, registered as I-ENAV, is one of the few aircrafts in Europe certified to fly LPV approaches. In January 2014 the aircraft, specially equipped to perform all kind of Flight Inspection and Validation duties, has been extensively used to validate a number of GNSS procedures, down to LPV minimums: we flew over Portugal to validate new GNSS approaches at Lisbon Airport; we crossed the Mediterranean to validate LPV approaches in Monastir, Tunisia, under the auspices of the MEDUSA Project. The project aims at expanding EGNOS availability and usage in North Africa.
