The Vice-president of European Commission Siim Kallas visits ENAV
The Vice-President of the European Commission, Siim Kallas, visited the ENAV Area Control Centre (ACC) in Rome.
Vice-President Kallas was welcomed by the ENAV CEO Massimo Garbini, who presented the control centre and the current developments on the main internationalprogrammes and projects in which ENAV is directly involved, with specific focus on Single European Sky initiatives.
Vice-president Kallas appreciated the high level performances in operations and technology and congratulated Massimo Garbini for the ENAV achievements as recognized in Europe in the last years.
''I am happy to see how ENAV is implementing, as a first line actor, the Single European Sky and Sesar objectives in its operational center of excellence'', said Vice-president Kallas.
The ENAV ACC in Rome manages approximately one million flights per year (63% of the Italy's air space).
